Engineering Electromagnetic | By William Hayt & John Buck | 7th Edition | McGraw Hill Publication ( English Medium ).
"Engineering Electromagnetics" by William H. Hayt Jr. and John A. Buck is a widely respected textbook designed for junior-level introductory courses in electromagnetics or electromagnetic field theory. The 7th edition, published by McGraw-Hill, continues the tradition of emphasizing fundamental principles and problem-solving techniques, presenting complex material in an understandable and readable manner.
Key features of this edition include:
Comprehensive Coverage: The book provides an in-depth exploration of electromagnetics, suitable for both academic study and professional reference.
Illustrations and Analogies: Numerous illustrations and analogies are incorporated to aid readers in grasping difficult concepts.
Examples and Problems: A variety of examples and problems are provided to facilitate independent learning and reinforce understanding.
This edition maintains the book's reputation as a classic resource, updated to reflect contemporary developments in the field of electromagnetics.
Description
First published around five decades ago, Engineering Electromagnetics by William H. Hayt and John A. Buck is among the very few academic books that has stood the test of time. The book has been updated periodically to suit the needs of students pursuing electromagnetic education.
Summary Of The Book
Engineering Electromagnetics teaches fundamental concepts and problem solving from their theoretical conception to their practical realizations. Numerous analogies and illustrations are provided to aid the reader in grasping the concepts with ease.
The book lays emphasis on independent learning and this is facilitated by the inclusion of many problems and examples. Engineering Electromagnetics contains chapters on Vector Analysis, Columbus’ Law and Electric Field Intensity, Energy and Potential, Current and Conductors, Transmission Lines, Waveguide, and a host of other chapters on theories of electromagnetism. Included in this updated version are sections on micro strip line and transmission line losses in the chapters Waveguide and Transmission Lines respectively.
Engineering Electromagnetics comes with a CD that contains varied sets of animations that illustrate some of the concepts of electromagnetism. These animations are designed to help the reader build visual maps in his/her head to understand the concepts. This is an added advantage since students are known to grasp information more efficiently when aided by visual resources. The CD also presents to the reader an interactive mode of learning in the form of quizzes.
