The book has been jointly authored by Vir Bala Aggarwal and V S Gupta.

Vir Bala Aggarwal is a senior researcher, academician and Chairperson of the Journalism and Mass Communication Department in the University of Himachal Pradesh. As a resource person, Aggarwal is associated with several journalism departments in the country. She regularly presents papers on media issues in various seminars held regionally and nationally. She has also written on media issues in several journals.

A former Professor at the Haryana Agricultural University, V S Gupta is a senior academician in the fields of media and communication. He represented India at the AMIC (Asian Media Information Centre) in Singapore. Having been recognised with numerous awards and fellowships, Professor Gupta also organised several seminars and symposiums across the country. He has edited and written nine books along with several manuals that have been published in India as well as abroad.
