अशोक कुमार प्रतिष्ठित भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (IIT), दिल्ली से बी.टेक और एम.टेक की डिग्री प्राप्त हैं। उन्होंने 1989 में भारतीय पुलिस सेवा (IPS) में अपनी यात्रा शुरू की और उत्तर प्रदेश और उत्तराखंड में अनेक चुनौतीपूर्ण भूमिकाएँ निभाईं।पुलिस महानिदेशक, उत्तराखंड के पद से सेवानिवृत्त होने के बाद, वे वर्तमान में मोतीलाल नेहरू स्कूल ऑफ स्पोर्ट्स, राय, हरियाणा में कुलपति के पद पर कार्यरत हैं। उन्होंने CRPF और BSF में प्रतिनियुक्ति पर योगदान दिया तथा DIG रहते हुए खुफिया एवं सुरक्षा प्रमुख और कानून एवं व्यवस्था महानिदेशक की भूमिका निभाई। उन्हें 2001 में कोसोवो में सेवा के लिए संयुक्त राष्ट्र पदक, 2006 में भारतीय पुलिस पदक और 2013 में राष्ट्रपति पुलिस पदक से सम्मानित किया गया। वे “खाकी में इंसान” नामक पुस्तक के लेखक हैं, जिसे जी.बी. पंत पुरस्कार मिला। हाल ही में उन्होंने “Cracking Civil Services – The Open Secret” और “Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude” नामक पुस्तकें भी लिखी हैं।

Ashok Kumar holds B.Tech and M.Tech degrees from IIT Delhi. Joining the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 1989, he served across Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand in diverse leadership roles. After retiring as Director General of Police, Uttarakhand, he is presently serving as the Vice Chancellor at Motilal Nehru School of Sports, Rai, Haryana. He also contributed his expertise to CRPF and BSF on deputation and earlier distinguished himself as DIG, Chief of Intelligence and Security, and DG Law & Order. His service has been recognised with the UN Medal (2001, Kosovo), the Indian Police Medal (2006), and the President’s Police Medal (2013). He authored “Khaki Mein Insan (Human in Khaki)”, which received the G.B. Pant Award (BPR&D, MHA), and has also written “Cracking Civil Services – The Open Secret” and “Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude”.

विपुल अनेकांत ने मालवीय राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (MNIT), जयपुर से बी.टेक की पढ़ाई पूरी की और टाटा इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ सोशल साइंसेज (TISS), मुंबई के छात्र रहे। वे 2012 में DANIPS में शामिल हुए।

वर्तमान में वे दिल्ली में गृह मंत्री सुरक्षा के पुलिस उपायुक्त के पद पर तैनात हैं। इससे पहले वे दिल्ली पुलिस आर्थिक अपराध शाखा के एसीपी, एसपी, दीव द्वीप और एसडीपीओ-दमन/खानवेल के पद पर दादरा नगर हवेली और दमन व दीव में सेवाएँ दे चुके हैं।

Vipul Anekant completed his B.Tech from MNIT Jaipur and studied at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. He joined DANIPS in 2012. Presently, he is serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Home Minister Security, Delhi.
